Transport of navigation marks
Waterway and shipping authorities are regularly faced with the challenge of transporting floating navigation marks ashore within the harbour environment. Floating navigation marks are used to identify shipping channels and hazards in maritime operations. The HUBTEX CT electric two-way transporter for floating navigation marks enables these heavy and bulky navigation marks to be stored safely and precisely. The transporter can be operated via radio remote control and has a load capacity of up to 10 tonnes. Its electric drive ensures low-noise and emission-free load transport.
Transporter for floating navigation marks CT in operation at the Stralsund Waterways and Shipping Authority
The HUBTEX CT transporter for floating navigation marks is used by the Stralsund Waterways and Shipping Authority for the handling and transport of floating navigation marks. The transporter can be used both in the maintenance hall and in the harbour environment.
Features
The transporter moves underneath the fairway marker buoy resting on a support frame. The lifting system picks up the load together with the frame and raises it by up to 950 mm. This allows the fairway markers to be transported safely.
Smaller pole markers in frames can be handled particularly efficiently in production and harbour environments using HUBTEX transporters. Thanks to the integrated multidirectional steering, extremely tight turning radii can be achieved. The industrial trucks can be customised within the respective product ranges to meet individual customer requirements. For example, various cab options are available, specifically developed for use in narrow aisles.
The transporter is controlled via a portable radio remote control, allowing safe and convenient operation from a distance.
