SFX modular system: Hubtex develops three
platform transporters
Self-propelled transporters for 25 t, 40 t and 65 t

Economical, compact, self-propelled: Hubtex is developing new platform transporters for load capacities of 25 t, 40 t and 65 t with the SF-X series. The compact, self-propelled vehicles for indoor and outdoor use have a large loading area for transporting bulky, heavy loads. Thanks to its modular design, the cost-effective base of the transporter can be equipped with various steering systems or platform lift and thus be expanded into an AGV.

The portfolio of the leading manufacturer of special-purpose industrial trucks will include the new SFX models for the load capacity ranges 25 t (SFX-25), 40 t (SFX-40) and 65 t (SFX-60) from July 2021. Cross-series vehicle components and the addition of AGV functions make the series suitable for most customer requirements. Typical areas of application are found in in-plant heavy-duty transport in the automotive and aviation industries and especially along the value chain of the metal industry, from foundry to trade to processing, for example in mechanical engineering.

Use the advantages of our new platform transporters for your in-plant heavy-duty transport

If you are looking for an economical, compact and self-propelled platform transporter, Hubtex offers you a flexible solution which, thanks to its modularity, covers a wide range of requirements and areas of application. Contact us - we will be happy to advise you.

Made for any surface

The core element of all platform transporters is the chassis and the associated steering system. With the standard single-axle steering system on the front axle, a steering angle of up to 70 degrees is possible. Optionally, multidirectional steering is available for all three vehicle series for applications in which manoeuvring should be avoided. Due to the small turning radii, the space required by the transporter in confined production or storage areas can be further reduced. Another advantage of the new steering system is the small space requirement in the vehicle. This means that more compact designs can be realised than with models using the hydraulic steering system previously installed by Hubtex. The new SF-X, for example, has a minimum platform height of 900 mm. Another important side effect is a significant reduction in energy consumption due to the higher efficiency of the electric drives. While the two vehicle series up to 40 t are planned with two axle lines, three or four axles are available in the load capacity class up to 65 t. Flexibility on the ground is also required. For this reason, Hubtex offers the three SF-X series 25, 40 and 60 with soft elastic tyres in addition to the standard polyurethane tyres. This means that all types of paved floors on a factory site can be driven over - the application is not limited to indoor areas only. The wheel stools and the drive rocker provide level compensation for uneven floors. This means that materials are transported safely and reliably even on unfavourable floor conditions.

Modular design for individual adaptations

The high modularity of the new platform transporters makes the vehicles adaptable to a wide range of applications. The frame of the new SF-X is divided into three fixed sections: front axle, rear axle and centre section. Variability at the interfaces of the sub-assemblies enables customised length and width adaptation in line with the transport task. Prefabricated modules, such as the wheel stool or the load wheel and drive rocker, guarantee comprehensive vehicle standards. The optionally available lifting function is carried out either via cylinders or the entire platform. The hydraulic-electric cabinet can be used for all SFX series. Depending on requirements, the modular electric panels can also be flexibly extended to AGV functions from the Phoenix AGV series. The prefabrication of standardised assemblies reduces working time and contributes to the short delivery times of the series.

Standard operation of the transport vehicle is simple via cable and radio remote control. Functions for integrating the platform truck into automated processes can also be integrated into the SF-X series from the general HUBTEX automation modular system. For longer distances, an upgrade of the vehicle via a driver's cab is possible.
