HUBTEX invests 2.5 million Euros in the Technology Park Fulda

Test, test, test. This is the motto to be able to build a safe and high-quality vehicle. To ensure this, HUBTEX is building a test and storage hall in the Technology Park Fulda.

With the 1,600 square metre hall in lightweight construction and the surrounding area, HUBTEX wants to offer further testing possibilities for highly complex special vehicles. These include the radiation-protected HUBTEX SF stacking vehicle, which is used in a final storage facility and therefore has to meet the highest requirements. Parts of the prescribed test procedures can be reproduced in the hall and on the premises.

"As a technology leader, it is important to us that our customers get the best vehicle. A test hall with a test site helps us to achieve this goal even better and more easily," says Managing Director Hans-Joachim Finger.

Forward-looking construction for further expansion steps

The site, which has already been owned by HUBTEX since 2019, is to be further developed in the coming years. Carsten Hohmann, the head of security and facilities, says: "The project is part of forward-looking planning, which is why we are already implementing construction measures today that will facilitate later expansion steps."  HUBTEX hopes that this will lead to a sustainable expansion of the site.

Until completion, a mass volume of about 30,000 cubic metres will be moved. For the companies involved, however, this is only a small challenge. Because, as in other construction projects, HUBTEX relies on proven local partners, such as Staubach + Partner, Wende Erdbau and Ulrich Bau.

In total, HUBTEX is investing 2.5 million Euros in the construction measures, which are to be completed by 31 December 2023.

In conclusion, Managing Director Marco Goldbach notes: "We are very pleased to be able to further expand our headquarters in Fulda and once again show that the Technology Park is worthy of its name."
