Carl Schlenk AG
Whether in mechanical engineering or other branches of industry, sooner or later, process optimisation requires the transport of heavy and complex loads. Carl Schlenk AG, the manufacturer of metal powders, pigments, and foils has its headquarters in Barnsdorf near Roth (Bavaria), Germany. In its rolling mill, semi-finished goods weighing up to 4 t are transported day in day out. These weights present a challenge to conventional fork-lift reach trucks.
Apple transporter for Mivor
Working to the requirements of the apple growing cooperative, Hubtex developed the KTR 120 inloader, which MIVOR has been using since June 2016. The apple crate transporter has a load carrying capacity of 12 tonnes and can pick up seven batches of up to four crates. It can also transport up to 144 crates per hour.
BLECHA GmbH
Who reads on the company development of Ingrid L. Blecha Ges.m.b.H. , encounters a flawless success story. It began in 1986 - not in a legendary garage as a starting point, but in the basement of company founder Ingrid and Albert Blecha. 28 years later, with a total storage area of 15,700 m², the company is the largest stockholding aluminum trader for semi-finished products in Austria and in the bar segment and one of the largest in Europe. The company management has always been aware that a quality-oriented, advanced intralogistics can give it a competitive advantage.
Pipe transporter used at Brugg
Owing to the pipe drums having become heavier, both the old special transporters in use at Brugg Rohrsysteme (Switzerland) had reached their limit. The susceptibility to breakdowns increased, the downtimes were longer as well and the productivity was unsatisfactory. Therefore, Brugg commissioned the specialist from Fulda, Hubtex, to find a new solution in the form of a special machine for moving up to 12 t of heavy pipe drums. Just six months passed from the first idea, through the intermediate in-spection and up to final shipment.
Kronospan Swiss AG
Kronospan Schweiz AG relies on the EZK 35 picking platform with vacuum suction device for semi-automatic picking of high-quality chipboard, which has been supplemented by Hubtex and Rohrer-Marti AG with a number of functions for positioning, centering and binding.
Sewage treatment plant Koblenz
For waste disposal logistics, special equipment manufacturer Hubtex initially provides three basic versions. These variants differ in the type of load suspension, either via lifting gear, lifting rail or fork mounting. All vehicles can be equipped with an electric, diesel or gas engine depending on the application. In the Koblenz sewage treatment plant, for example, an electrically operated dump truck type CT-E 140 with lifting gear facilitates the logistical processes in the container terminal and outdoors.
Gaugler & Lutz oHG
Effective materials handling and warehouse management is crucial to the success of a company, which is why Gaugler & Lutz oHG is banking on an intelligent storage system at its new logistics centre in Aalen-Ebnat (Nord). The leading supplier of core materials and products for lightweight manufacturing has installed a 12-metre-high cantilever racking system spanning 2,200 square metres, creating enough storage space for roughly 2,500 pallets. The pallets are transported around the warehouse by two MQ 30 electric multidirectional sideloaders.
V-ZUG AG
Co-determination is something completely natural in Switzerland. This does not only apply to referendums on community, canton or federal level, but sometimes also for interviews in the workplace. The best example is V-ZUG AG, which specializes in high-quality kitchen and washroom appliances. When the purchase of a new multi-directional sideloader was planned, the affected employees in the raw materials warehouse were included in the decision.
SBB Rail Technology Center Hägendorf
Punctual and reliable: The Deutsche Bahn rarely hears such praise. In contrast, the Swiss Federal Railways enjoy an excellent image, which is partly due to the careful maintenance of their infrastructure. Around 600 of the 13,000 switches in the more than 3,000 kilometers of rail network are replaced every year. The production of these switches and other preventive and maintenance measures are part of the range of tasks of the SBB Rail Technology Center Hägendorf (BTC).

Long, heavy and sensitive goods place special safety requirements on careful transport logistics. In combination with limited storage space and narrow rack aisles, conventional forklift trucks quickly reach their limits. That's why, in only two years, Groen & Janssen invested in four Hubtex multi-directional sideloaders to optimize its material flow.
Solar module production
The internal logistics processes in the solar industry pose special challenges for users. The heavy, large glass panes and panels can not be transported with bulky forklift trucks that have poor maneuverability due to limited visibility.
Cono Kaasmakers
Beemster cheese from the Netherlands is a recognized quality product, logically the producer Cono Kaasmakers also relied on quality for the material flow. It was a replacement for 10-year-old, repair-prone forklifts. "We tried it test-wise with a HUBTEX device, which we leased for months," Henk J. Maaijen of the Technical Department at Cono Kaasmakers says. After the specially made HUBTEX electric multi-directional sideloader MQ 30 ran successfully, now a second identical device has been ordered.

Are there coil transporters, platform trucks and rail cars available as AGVs?
The transport of coils is one of the typical tasks for manufacturers of metal strips and wire in intralogistics. Typically, platform and track wagons are often used for this purpose. Alternatively, HUBTEX offers special coil transporters or electric traction heads as well as heavy duty compact forklifts. These vehicle types form the basis for automated processes. HUBTEX relies on a modular construction kit with automated functions, assistance systems and safety components that are gradually being integrated into series production vehicles. This includes, for example, automatic positioning which navigates the operator directly in front of the correct shelf compartment after entering the desired position. HUBTEX has already anticipated the step-by-step automation with assistance systems: In the basic construction of the vehicles, cable routes, holders and sensors are pre-planned, with which the devices can also be automated later on.
