STIHL Tirol, a leading manufacturer of forestry and gardening equipment based in Langkampfen, Austria, which also produces chainsaws, was faced with the challenge of optimizing the internal transport of machine parts and system components.
The search for an efficient solution focused primarily on the storage and retrieval of their heavy-duty shelving system. The focus was on the question of how the transport of heavy and bulky parts could be made smoother in order to save time and resources.
The FLUX 70 multidirectional counterbalance trucks present themselves as an outstanding solution for the requirements of the STIHL Group's Austrian production site for transporting machine parts and for storing and retrieving the heavy-duty racking system. These powerful forklifts were specifically developed to ensure maximum efficiency and safety in the logistics and production processes, despite heavy and bulky loads.
A key feature of the FLUX 70 is the PU-Soft tires, which enable combined indoor and outdoor use. These tires not only ensure optimum traction on various surfaces, but also help to protect the floor and the transported goods.
The high basic load capacity of 7000 kg with a load center of gravity (LSP) of 600 mm makes the FLUX 70 a robust and powerful partner when handling heavy machine parts. Even with a large lifting height of 6500 mm, a residual load capacity of 4400 kg with a load center of gravity of 700 mm is guaranteed, enabling reliable and safe handling of loads at different heights.
Another feature is the integrated camera system, which ensures optimum visibility for the driver. This is particularly important in order to detect possible obstacles at an early stage and to make the transport process safe.
The fork tilt indicator is a crucial and outstanding feature for safe storage and retrieval at a high lifting height. Unintentional bumping of loads is a thing of the past.
The FLUX 70 also relies on the tried-and-tested 360° HX multidirectional steering, which enables smooth directional changes. This feature is invaluable when maneuvering through narrow aisles and for the precise positioning of loads. The FLUX makes particularly good use of this advantage when handling long or bulky loads. The compact dimensions of the FLUX 70 are a further advantage when driving lengthways. This is because the frame width is only 2350 mm plus the length of the forks.
In combination with the above-mentioned features, the FLUX 70 is a comprehensive solution that meets STIHL Tirol's requirements for efficient and safe transportation of machine parts.
