“One truck for everything”: Tigris Building Solutions moves mixed loads with HUBTEX
Building materials dealer in Plombières (BE) relies on two FLUX 30s and an MQ 45 – flexible for both pallet and long-load handling.

Starting point: timber, panels, profiles – and confined space
At Tigris Building Solutions in Plombières, Belgium, a broad range of materials meets tight access routes: palletised goods, long timber sections and sheet materials have to be moved every day between storage, woodworking machines and HGV loading – indoors and outdoors alike. “We’ve been working with HUBTEX for almost 20 years now. Very good machines, great handling and reliable after-sales service,” says Abger Cavas, responsible for the Plombières site. The fleet concept needed to combine safe long-load handling with efficient pallet handling – without additional vehicles or detours.
Solution: two FLUX 30s for mixed loads, MQ 45 for dedicated long loads
At the heart of the solution are two HUBTEX FLUX 30 trucks. This electric multidirectional forklift switches at the push of a button from front-forklift mode (for pallets) to sideloader mode (for long loads) – a 2-in-1 feature that boosts productivity in mixed operations. The 360° HX steering enables smooth changes of direction without stopping and makes manoeuvring in tight areas much easier. At Tigris, both FLUX 30s are equipped with a lift height of 7,400 mm – matched to the racking height in the pallet and panel storage areas.
The fleet is complemented by a HUBTEX MQ 45. As a multidirectional sideloader, it comes into its own when handling long loads exclusively: high residual capacities, sensitive load handling, and a long-load fork carriage that provides stable support surfaces. With a maximum lift height of 8,500 mm, the MQ 45 at Tigris can also serve higher racking levels – a clear advantage for space utilisation in high-bay storage.
„We currently have three HUBTEX trucks in operation, which are very highly valued, and we’re already in talks about purchasing a fourth,” reports Cavas.
Practical benefits: HGV loading, internal transport, machine feeding – seamless indoors and out
In day-to-day operations, the combination of FLUX and MQ covers three key tasks:
- Loading and unloading HGVs:
Thanks to front-forklift mode, the FLUX handles classic dock-side transfer processes. With 360° HX steering, the truck can be positioned precisely without shunting pauses – reducing cycle times and lowering the risk of collisions at doors and in the yard.
Transport in warehouse and production:
In sideloader mode, the FLUX moves long profiles and panels safely through narrow aisles. For heavy or particularly long loads, the MQ 45 is used – its sideloader geometry and long-load fork carriage are specifically designed for this type of task.- Feeding woodworking machines:
Both FLUX 30s take loads directly to saws, presses or CNC operations – palletised or long. The MQ 45 takes over when large components need to be placed precisely at machine positions or when lift heights up to 8,500 mm are required for racking operations.
Another advantage: all three trucks operate both indoors and outdoors. Robust design and suitable tyres ensure continuous material flows between the building and the outdoor yard – without changing vehicles.
Conclusion:
For Tigris Building Solutions, the combination of two FLUX 30s and one MQ 45 reduces vehicle changes, shunting time and risks in long-load handling. The FLUX trucks’ 2-in-1 capability is ideally suited to mixed loads, while the MQ 45 opens up higher racking levels and maximises storage density. The long-standing partnership and planned fleet expansion underline the tangible value in daily operations.
